-=Personal=-Name: Katrina Illiaros (Often nicknamed Kat)
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Hometown: Oswater
-=Appearance=-Eyes: Green, turning to blue at the outer regions.
Hair: Black, hanging to slightly below her shoulders. Katrina commonly puts it in a ponytail when studying, but will often let it remain normal at other times.
Height: Average, going on short.
Clothes: A pleated green woolen skirt, going down to the tops of a pair of boots. The boots are brown, nondescript material. A blue medium-quality silk blouse completes the rather unusual outfit.
A cage of silver wire surrounding a black onyx crystal, hung on a chain of gold filigree around Katrina's neck, that she seemingly always wears.
Likewise, there are two bracelets on Katrina's wrists. One is a deep blue sapphire, surrounded by a cage of fine ruby wires on a golden chain [NOW BROKEN]. The other is a diamond in black onyx wires, on a silver chain.
-=Training & Capabilities=-Armour: N/A, other than clothes. >.>
Weapon: N/A, pure magic-user. Can't use any sort of weapon.
Skills & Abilities:-Energy Sphere: Most basic attack, conjures a sphere of green energy in one hand. Every attack is based off of it, since the 5 basic spells in each element tree uses it as a base.
-Fireball: Well... What does it sound like? Most basic fire spell, conjures a normal energy sphere, but a flick of the wrist turns it into a flaming one. Can be thrown or rammed into an opponent, at which point... it explodes. The, uh, difference between the Energy Sphere explosion and the Fireball one is... er... The Fireball one is red. >.> Yeah.
Consumes more than twice the amount of energy that Energy Sphere does, unless there is a source of fire nearby that can be used instead.
-Firefall I: The first of two highly similar techniques. Two fireballs are conjured, one in each hand, and thrown. They spin around each-other, and cause a large explosion when hitting the target.
-Iceblast: Forms a sphere of ice, which like Energy Sphere and Fireball, can be thrown or smashed into an enemy. Freezes the area around it when it impacts (about 1 foot around it, if on a normal space; Ifrit's mouth was an enclosed space, so it had a rather larger effect). About the same amount of energy as Fireball, except it's impossible to draw the energy from somewhere else.
-Winterfall I: Two orbs of ice are thrown at the ground near an enemy. One will grow into a hollow pillar of ice, the size of which depends on how long it had been charged, and the other will riccochet off the walls of the column, discharging giant chunks of ice at each hit. Comparitively easy to escape from (don't stay in one spot. >.>) but also rather powerful.
-=About=-Backstory:
The daughter of Amelia Illiaros, a wealthy noble of Lezoli, and Arnold, a footman of her manor. After a rather confusing period of time, Amelia discovered she had somehow fallen in love with the lowly servant, and he with her.
They eloped, with Amelia discarding her titles, riches, and lands, so that they could be together without being judged by a corrupt upper-class.
After more than a decade and two children, Katherine and Katrina (they had a thing for names starting with K), Arnold was drafted into Lezoli's army for one of it's perpetual skirmishes. He was reported dead a fortnight later, fleeing from a battle.
Heartbroken, Amelia fled Lezoli with her older daughter, Katherine, who was nine at the time. Katrina never saw them again.
She wandered the streets of Oswater as an orphan, making a rough living. Two years after being abandoned, she was caught cutting the purse of Petyr Erra, co-owner of Erra's Magic Shop, when he was in town to pick up supplies on his journey to Firetol to procure rare ingredients.
Charmed by the grubby little girl he found, and disliking the thought of what the Lezoli government would do if he turned her in, he decided to take her on his voyage, to help him carry things.
Increasingly impressed by the skill with which Katrina found specific magical ingredients, he continued to travel with her, eventually taking her home when he returned to his central shop and wife, Arya.
A barren woman, Arya was heartbroken by her inability to have children, and took to the young girl even faster than her husband. Within a week of him returning, she had browbeaten him into adopting Katrina.
When Erra's Magic Shop invested in the founding of the Academy, Katrina enrolling as a student of magic, which she proved to be quite good at, was one of the Erra's few conditions, which was happily met.
The youngest original student of the Academy, enrolling at 10, Katrina is recognized as one of the greatest mages there... Or, she would be, if she didn't carry the distinction of being an Energy Mage, fueling all of her spells from her own energy. Rigorous, unbending normal spells don't work well for her, so she began to simply make her own with her experience in working at Erra's. It took most of the years that she's been at the Academy to build up enough of a reserve of energy that she doesn't faint when she casts even the simplest of spells, but Energy Mages are often the most powerful if they conquer that peculiar hurdle...
With almost all of her memories of early childhood and her teen-aged years being of hardships or endless studying, Katrina has ended up being extremely serious and virtually incapable of understanding jokes, as well as trouble making friends or close companions.
Relationships:
Arnold Illiaros, biological father, deceased.
Lady Amelia Illiaros, biological mother, presumed dead.
Katherine Illiaros, older sister, presumed dead.
Petyr Erra, adoptive father, Master of Magics at the Academy.
Arya Erra, adoptive mother, owner of the Erra's Magic Shop, a major investor in the Academy.
Additional Notes: Katrina is left-handed, and the Energy Sphere and Fireball orbs appear in that hand.
Kat makes all of her spells herself, instead of learning them from scrolls.
All magic is based off of the very first attack, changing it in various ways. They all also commonly share names that are very similar (Radiance, Light Radiance, Icy Radiance, for example, three mid-RP attacks that I have planned). As well, all but the fire-themed attacks have to be fueled directly by Kat's energy, rather than magic from other sources. As such, it doesn't need any sort of amplification to work, such as a staff or wand, but it consumes vast amounts of energy. Meaning Kat actually
has to set safeguards into the higher-level spells so that they won't drain her energy until she dies. The jewelry = majorly important for personal storyline. Expect much mind****ing whenever one breaks.
...Though, they'll all break eventually. But I've already got two of the three planned out, and an idea on how the last one will break. So don't screw with them, plz.
<.<
And pretty much
looking at her funny will kill Kat. She's the archetypal Squishy Wizard.

As Vaarsuvius once said...
"Well, I'm terribly sorry I spent my extensive lifespan unlocking the means to unravel the universe and reshape it according to my will rather than, say, jogging. It has a tendency to leave one relatively fragile." Detailed enough?
