>.> <.< >.> Ansem Retort: ansemretort.org/ansemretort/index.html?comic=1A dead-baby-comedy, as they're called; nothing is safe. In the very first strip, one of the main characters says that he is due to go to court for burning down an orphanage, and proceeds to burn down the courthouse instead. It gets worse from there, including a possible parody of 9/11. Beware of foul language, though, because there's a fair bit of it. I've been following this one since the 150th strip or so. It was the first webcomic I read, and it actually got me into 8-bit Theatre, and then onto many of the other webcomics I regularly read. The style improves throughout, getting rid of the awkward postures (the way Axel is holding the letter in the first strip, for example), but there isn't much you can do to improve the looks when the sprites are ripped from a game. However, Duke, the maker, has recently implemented shadows, though he's still working on it. Some of the favorites of mine are #160 ansemretort.org/ansemretort/index.html?comic=160and #91 ansemretort.org/ansemretort/index.html?comic=91/copied-and-pasted from alien's webcomic archive
