YOU DIDN'T EVEN EXPLAIN WHAT A WAR IS!!! GRAAARH! ALIEN SMASH!!!
1) Be realistic (game-wise) when posting Live Actions and important character logs. -1a) This is one of the more important rules, so if it is broken (Godmodding), you will take a troop penalty depending on how bad the Godmod was (ie: I threw a gigantic rock on 100 hundred troops) will receive a lesser penalty than “I FLIPPIN WHIPPED OUT MY SUPER SWORD AND CHOPPED THE ENTIRE ARMY IN HALF!”, and the post will be considered Null and Void. -1b) A post requires a 75% majority vote to be considered a Godmod. The post also has to seem like a Godmod, people can’t just get together and say “I want to mess with this guy!”
2) You begin the game with 10,000 troops, YES, 10,000 TROOPS. You can have a max of 50,000 troops. Any troops you have can come from any Zelda game you wish. But you must pick your troops based upon the base you chose. (Example: Let's say you pick Great Bay Temple from MM, you must have water creatures. So you can have Great Bay troops, and Water Temple troops from OoT, and water troops from WW, and other Zelda games. Get me?) You can gain 500 troops every game day, so that means you can gain 1,000 troops every real day. -2a) YOU CANNOT GAIN TROOPS DURING WAR. When I say this, it means that you cannot get troops while in an actual battle. Like your army is in a field fighting another. -2b) If you conquer someone else, you cannot take their troops. However, you can get any special items (see below) and Rupees that they have. -2c) NO ELITE MEN. I don’t care how you word it, if you upgrade your troops, you make them elite. That is bad, the project will be removed and the troops that were going to become elite will all die.
3) You are allowed 2 game day posts per real life day. Basically it is 12 hours in real-life is an in-game day. Days cannot be taken in advance, it gets really confusing after awhile. -3a) In case you miss a few days of posting, you are free to catch all of them up in one post. However, try to keep this to a minimum since the War Mods has to check everything to make sure in order and such. However, to clarify, you may take 2 in-game days at once, to make 1 log rather than 2 logs per day.
4) You can begin with 2 General characters and are allowed a Companion. Generals can be created characters but must reflect the in-game history and races. A General can be anyone from a major plot-line character to a simple grave-digger. -4a) While Generals are powerful soldiers, they are not godly. They can die, they will die. Do not attempt to over-power them or it is subject to be removed by the war mod. -4b) Major character who cannot be generals are as follows: Link, Majora, The Four Giants, Ganon, Ganondorf, Zelda, Din, Nayru, Farore, Bellum, the Wind Fish, the Ocean King, Nightmare, Tetra, a Great Fairy, Dark Link*, The King of Hyrule** Shadow Link Vatti, Ezlo, Veran, Onox, Minda and Zant. Any other very-major characters should be taken up with the war mod. *Only the AoL version is banned, OoT DL is fair game ** Only the WW version is banned because of his magic powers shown in game -4c) Generals do not count towards your Army Total. -4d) You can recruit ONE new general every 7 real life days. No exceptions
5) Heroes are upgraded Generals or soldiers who complete a great feat which imposes great skill and power on them. Heroes are very powerful and can wipe out an unprepared or weak/badly organized army - but are still very killable. -5a) Heroes can only be obtained via a ‘Hero Quest’ which is completed by a General or Companion. This quest must take 30 in-game days (at minimum) and must be thoroughly detailed throughout the entire thing. It ‘must’ be approved by a War Mod as reasonable. -5b) No characters listed in 4b may be heroes. -5c) Remember, Heroes are strong but they aren’t godly. They are human, not killing machines that are impossible to kill. -5d) Each subsequent Hero’s Quest takes an increasing amount of time. First 30, then 56, then 80. -5e) Only one Hero’s Quest may be undertaken at a time.
6) Lastly, you can have Companions. These are characters who cannot engage in battle and relate more to the story-line, events, projects, and random help. They do not count towards your Army Total and must have a log posted as General and Heroes do. -6a) No characters listed in 4b may be companions
7) Battles are done in two ways, depending on the area. If it is a wide-open space, the battle will be written by a War Mod. This is because the scope of it is so large, and battle plans are more effective. -7a) Therefore, battle plans for those confrontations must be posted, and the War Mod will write the battle following those plans, and post the resulting casualties and such. 7) If in close quarters, such as an enemy base, the battle will be RPed. This is because the defender knows where all of their traps and defenses are, while a War Mod may not. These also commonly come down to a large battle between Generals, better done in an RP style. -7a) Therefore, for close quarters battles, battle plans are not required. -7b) Once a Battle is declared, the other person has 72 hours to respond or they will lose the fight. -7c) If someone says before hand they will be gone, then naturally this rule doesn’t apply. HOWEVER, the person has 24 hours to post once they get back.
8) All Projects (building defenses, creating items, recruiting men, training, and scouting) is turn-based by Days. The amount a project takes is your choice, but be fair or a War Mod can and will step in to alter the days or possibly a penalty. After a project is finished, list as much information about it as possible. All of that information is considered Out of Character and cannot be used in-game by anyone but the owner. Only 5 projects are allowed at a time, not counting recruiting troops. Make your projects realistic, please.
9) No troop or character transformations (masks, rings) are allowed.
10) Special Items are items of Link’s inventory, basically. Only Generals or Heroes are allowed to use them. -10a) A-Class Items cannot be duplicated. If they’re destroyed, they’re gone. Well, except for the Four Sword. >.> -10b) B-Class Items can only be used by Generals, but can be duplicated via a Project.
A-Class: Master Sword Great Fairy's Sword Four Sword Dominion Rod Cane of Somaria Cane of Byrna Cane of Pacci Magic Armor Magic Cape Ocarina of Time Wind Waker Quake Bombos Ether Forest/Fire/Water/Spirit/Shadow/Light Medallions Book of Mudora Din's/Farore's/Nayru's Pearls Masks
B-Class: Silver Gauntlets Gold Gauntlets Power Glove Power Bracelet Titan's Mitt Din's Fire Nayru's Love Farore's Wind Fire Rod Ice Rod
Banned Items: Rod of Seasons Harp of Ages Fused Shadows Chateau Romani Song of Soaring Spiritual Stones/Pendants Any of the Triforces. (Courage, Power, Wisdom)
-10c) The Master Sword is simply a stronger sword than most, not infinitely powerful. -10d) The Four Sword has a different effect than in the games; it splits the wielder into 4 copies who are 1/4th their original strength. -10e) In addition, you can get any item from any Zelda game not on the banned list. But since not all areas are on the map, most items are on the closest thing to it; Snowhead can hold the Iron Boots and Ice Rod, for example.
11) Read every post before posting your own so you are not blind to what is happening.
12) Every post must contain character logs which explain in detail what each general did that day. This does NOT include stuff like “Well I went outside and picked a few berries for my dinner today, and then I went and skipped in the meadow like a young lamb in the springtime”. Important stuff concerning projects, alliances and things like that.
13). Only one army. No exceptions.
14) Respect the war mods (Myself and Blobfish). They exercise arbitrary power, and may change/modify rules if the situation calls for it. All mods have the same amount of power, no one mod is stronger than the other.
15) War moderators can play in the game, however, their actions can be watched and even stripped by the players if they vote it off. 2/3rds of the players must vote against the War Mod being biased to strip them of their powers.
16) The players will vote amongst themselves to give someone the War Mod powers if a mod is banned.
17) If you flame/disrespect the mods, YOU WILL BE BANNED! NO EXCEPTIONS!
18) Random Events are, as the name suggests, stories and events that the War Moderator makes happen randomly to either players or locations. There is no set pattern to them, and they may or may not be beneficial. -18a) If a War Moderator seems to be favoring or harming a certain player or group of players deliberately through the use of Random Events, the action can be revoked by a three-fourths majority of the players.
19) When you post in your log, it is not public knowledge. When you send a letter, it cannot be intercepted easily. Point is, just because someone has it in their logs for all to see, it doesn't mean that you act as though your character knows it. For example, if someone is plotting to betray you behind your back, you can't act as though you know it. This is considered Out of Character knowledge and is taken very seriously. -19a) IF, by some crazy chance, that you use OOC knowledge in your posts, you will be banned. It seems harsh, I know, but this keeps happening and I want a to put a lid on this once and for all.
20) No arguing. This wastes space on the board. Whatever the War Mod says, goes. This is not to say that if you feel unfairly treated you can’t complain about it, just no arguing posts.
21) You may only have a base in whatever land you are playing on unless previously stated that it is off limits. You can only start with one, but later on you may have as many as you want, but keep in mind, the more spread out you are, the easier you are to be defeated. The only way you can gain a new area is to force every last enemy out of it, or you kill them all. Either one works.
22): If you go a maximum of 7 Real Life days without posting, your army will cease to exist. 22a): If you give us a reason before you leave, then you are excluded from this rule.
23)Warp Songs may only be used once every 24 hours (Real Life) by a General, Hero or Companion. Troops cannot use them.
24)You may only carry a max of 1 fairy per General ONLY Each General can only have 1 fairy EVER, once it is gone, there is no getting more. This is done because having a General getting numerous fairies makes it nearly impossible for the general to die. They are not tradeable, or exchangeable. You get one, that’s it forever. 24a)Faries will not heal you from- I- Decapitation II- Being stabbed through the heart or head III- Getting crushed by a boulder IV- Getting incinerated to ash V- Being frozen to death VI- Getting chopped in half VII- An arrow to the head or heart VIII- Getting blown up(bombs, traps etc) VIIII- Falling from an extremely high place. X- Depending on the type of poison, it may not kill you XI- Being trampled by a wild animal XII- Drowning in deep water
25) As you know, some species are more weak to certain elements than others. A list is below explaining this. The left side is the species in question and the right is what does the most damage.
Undead = Light Magic Zora = Fire and Ice Goron = Water Deku = Fire
This list is subject to change as War Mods see fit.
26) If all of your Generals and Heroes die, that’s it. You lose. No matter how many troops you have remaining, if no one is alive to command them they can’t do anything. As stated in 2b, you cannot steal someone else’s troops, even if you assassinate their generals or something. 27) If, for some reason, you would prefer to RP more and project less, then you can be a mercenary. A mercenary is a group of 2 composed of a Hero and a General. A third General can be gained after the set time shown in rule 4d. 27a) Another one of your generals can go an a Heroes Quest, giving you two heroes. HOWEVER, this Heroes quest MUST take 56 in game days. 27b) However, everyone shouldn’t be a Mercenary. There wouldn’t be any fun then. <.<
28) There are NPC shops in Woodfall, Clocktown, and the Mountain Village. These will be the main drains for Rupees. 28a) All the shops are run by the shopkeeper from Link's Awakening. If you try to steal stuff from them, he'll fry your butt into next tomorrow.
Set up logs like this:
Day
Army Name: General: Heros: Companions: Base:
War: Alliances:
Troops:
Total of:
Defenses:
Troop Location:
Arms:
Songs:
Items:
Completed Projects:
Projects:
Rupees: 5,000
LOGS
(General(s))
(Heroe(s))
(Companion(s))

._.
I forgotted.
Anyway, in the War, the objective is to destroy as many opposing armies as you can. You don't have to kill ALL of them, for example you don't need to kill the ones you've allied with. But you also can't just ally with everyone else; that would make it too boring.
Depending on the game (OoT, MM, TP) we may add in Medallions or something to make it more interesting. Medallions each give special powers depending on the element, I.E the Water Medallion could give you control over water, etc etc.
You can have Generals, Heroes, and Companions from other games, but don't make them too overpowered.
Also, Blobfish, would you like to be a War Moderator? We need a second one on a different side since Alien and I are probably going to be on the same side. >_>

Sounds like fun. If you can force enough people to sign up then this looks like it'll be great, in fact. Though I notice that you two are already ganging up on us...well, ganging up on me at least, by the sounds of it (you so totally implied I can't be on your side =p) I have to admit that being a merc sounds fun, despite it sounding like you get no troops....Unless I'm missing something? Seems well thought-out, but I have one minor problem. Well, possibly a problem unless you give me control over fire. Fire is the weakness of both zora and deku...If anyone has fire it's a bit of an advantage. Or do you usually have fire being that powerful? Also, could you possibly put an example of how long things take? Like building and other stuff? Why does the Four Sword not get destroyed? If the setting was going to be the TP universe, would the twilight realm be off-limits, or would it simply be placed somewhere off into the desert? (It was in the desert, right? It's too long since I played a zelda game ;_; ) It's a shame I'd be so useless at this - I can't get online every other weekend (wll, thursday to monday) so I'd constantly have to ask for exemption from the 72-hour-war-acknowledgement rule =p However I will try to join in wether as an army or a merc. And if you need another war mod, I will do my best to try ^_^ You should know that I love dishing out random punishments to people who break rules ^_^ Oh, one point though - Alien, don't be too harsh about the OOC knowledge thing - it can be accidental sometimes. I hate it too, but don't go jumping at shadows But it's hardly my place to tell you how to run your own RP. I'll act like a good little girl and make a topic for this soon, 'k?

I hate it too, but don't go jumping at shadows But it's hardly my place to tell you how to run your own RP. I'll act like a good little girl and make a topic for this soon, 'k? I actually never really noticed that Fire was more powerful than most. >_> Even so, it probably wouldn't be overpowered. In essence it would just come down to who made a better defense and strategy. Sure. Projects: Recruit 500 troops/day 0/?? (This one doesn't count as a project total, and should always be on unless you're in a war) Make a Watchtower 0/13 (Usually with buildings and such, the longer it is, the better and more useful it is) Research Stronger Bombs 0/7 Harvest Bombflowers 0/?? (10/day)(The 0/?? projects can go for however long you want, until you want to cancel them, or delay them. They aren't always 10/day, for example, in another war I was in, I was making catapults that took 10 days to make) Dig a pitfall 0/4 (Again, depending on how long it is, it would be deeper and wider) If it's too long or too short, a Mod could step in and tell them to increase/decrease it. Just try to make it realistic and fair. If you mean why the Four Sword wasn't banned, I thought that too. We decided that it makes four versions of yourself, but each of them are weaker. In other words, you use it, and each of the four you's have 1/4 the power of the original. I'd have to discuss that with Alien. It would probably be gotten to and from the Twilight Mirror at the Desert. ...That took me a lot longer to type than I thought it would. >_>

I'll act like a good little girl and make a topic for this soon, 'k? *Beats up Kow for going first* Yeah, a Merc can't get troops. Zoras are pretty weak out of water anyway, since they're so awesome in it. Them being weak to it just means that they're probably shouldn't try to storm some place with that has Fire Arrows. >.> Kow did a good job on the project examples. Bah. I can't yell at him for that. <.< The Four Sword is exempt from the A-List quality of being impossible to duplicate since it, itself, is split in four when used. That's what I meant with that. >.> The Twilight Realm, if it's allowed, would be accessed through the Mirror in the Arbiter's Ground. But it's often not, due to how overpowered an entire race with the powers of the Twili would be. They're pretty much all highly skilled magicians... :/ The OoC knowledge thing is a long story. >.> These rules were adapted from a set that were, in turn, adapted by somebody else, which were adapted by another person, etc. The OoC knowledge thing was a major issue at one point, and it managed to get into the rules. Well, it seems like Majora's Mask wins in the poll... Unless three people vote something else. >.> Sign-ups for bases in a minute... And NPC shops. Also, there will probably be an addition to the rules in regards to NPC shopkeepers, which will be the main use for Rupees. And Kow added a poll. >.>

Call a base! (Arranged by region, and then by specific areas. Specific areas are in all-caps.)
Termina Field:
CLOCKTOWN: alienfetucine
NOMAD:
MERCENARY:
Swamp:
SWAMP:
DEKU PALACE:
WOODFALL/TEMPLE:
Snowhead:
GORON VILLAGE:
SNOWPEAK TEMPLE:
Great Bay:
PIRATE'S FORTRESS:
ZORA'S HALL:
GREAT BAY TEMPLE:
Ikana Valley:
IKANA GRAVEYARD:
IKANA CASTLE:
STONE TOWER/STONE TOWER TEMPLE:
Tell me if I missed somewhere. The Moutain Village isn't on there since it's going to be occupied with a shop, and there's not much room for anything else there. Clocktown and the Swamp are big enough for something other than the shop, which is why it isn't an issue for them. >.>
Now, shops...
Format is: (Item) (Amount sold at once; a three means it would be three bottles of Red Potion, for example): (Price)
And you can't buy less than the amount listed. The shopkeeper will zap you if you do. <.<
KOUME & KOTAKE'S POTION HUT:
Empty Bottle (3): 3,000 Rupees Red Potion (3): 300 Rupees Green Potion (3): 500 Rupees Blue Potion (3): 1,000 Rupees Deku Nuts (1,000): 300 Rupees Deku Sticks (1,000) 300 Rupees
MOUNTAIN VILLAGE SMITHY:
Hylian Shields (100): 1,000 Rupees Hero's Shields (120): 1,200 Rupees Razor Swords* (50): 300 Rupees Gilded Sword** (1): 5,000 Rupees Special Order*** (1): ? ? ? ? Rupees
*Altered to not break so easily. **It's made with gold dust. How much do you think it'd cost? >.> *** You can enlist the Smithy to work on a special weapon or set of armor for a General or Hero. The quality depends on how much you will pay and how long you wait for them to be finished. There may also be a wizard moving in nearby that could be persuaded to enchant weapons with a specific element...
CLOCKTOWN AGORA:
Deku Nuts (1,000): 500 Rupees Mask Variety Pack* (4): 200 Rupees
*The only way to get Masks. When you buy one, pick a number from 1 to 5. The 4 masks that you get correspond do that number... somewhat.
The Clocktown Agora's selection will change depending on what regions it allies with. If it allies with Snowhead, it will get Goron Tunics, Bombs, etc. If it allies with the Swamp, it will get potions, lower prices on Deku Nuts, empty Bottles, etc. And so forth.
Deku Nuts and Sticks are sold by the troop. So they'd each sell enough for 1,000 troops. Troops can carry 20 Deku Nuts at once. Troops can carry 10 Deku Sticks at once.

Just a thought, BTW: You guys have clearly played these kinds of RPs before, while I don't know if anyone else here has. If no-one has, is it a bit mean to gang up on all of us while we're still floundering?
Also, you need a few more people to sign up really. And sorry, I'll sign up soon, when I see where other people are basing themselves. Wouldn't want to limit their choices, would I?

I've never played this style before but I'll certainly give it a go. I'd like to live in one of the temples, if I could? The swamp one in particular. That'd be easy to defend ...Right? (*bit of a fan of strategy games, thus should enjoy this?*)

Actually, we've really got some of the worst positions. Clocktown is right in the middle of the field, so it's stunningly easy to attack from multiple directions, and a Nomad group doesn't have any defenses to start with. With the much better defensive abilities of... pretty much anywhere, and everyone but Kow and I on a team, we're even or have the scales tipped to you. >.> /logic
And I think the Academy RP is going to go up before this one will. I don't really mind either way. <.<
Kitini, just copy&paste the list and put your name in. Like so:
