(This is a lengthy side-story/prequel to the RP itself, following the major events that led to the founding of the Churches. It will be updated weekly, most likely every Saturday.
Each section will be between 2,000 and 5,000 characters long, roughly. I think and/or hope.)

The temple was empty and abandoned. Dust danced in beams of sunlight, shooting through the broken walls.
The dust on the floor was stirred as somebody walked through for the first time in years, probably decades.
Veronica looked up from her notebook. "Hm?"
Two men were watching her, heavily cloaked. They had come in the central door, rather than her usual route of jumping through the ceiling. Much more fun that way.
"Veronica?"
Startled, she stood. Her own cloak fell into place, instead of being scrunched up to make a cushion.
"We come to find the last," said the taller, broader man.
"Other servants of Them?" Veronica asked, trying to make out details under the cloaks of the men.
"I am Artur," said the slimmer and shorter man, though he was still fairly tall. "This is Johnathan, my companion. You are Veronica?"
"Yes," she said simply. "They appeared before me, and told me to wait here for the others."
"And They appeared before us, and told us to come here to find the last," said Artur.
"Do you know what this place is, then?" Veronica asked.
"A Temple. A Temple to Nayru. One of three in the Great Sea, build upon what had once been the Triangle Islands. After the Hero of Winds departed for new lands, those left behind found solace and comfort in the Goddesses. So they built, and created an entire temple, perched up on a miniscule just of rock. They drained the seas themselves with magic, to raise the rock and shores. Then, with incredible manpower, they built upon this barren rock, turning the statue of Nayru into an altar piece, as they did on the other Triangle Islands. When all three were complete, the Tower of the Gods shone like a sun, lit by the people's faith in it...
"It is sad how people have lost faith. I would have liked to see the Tower of the Gods shining, just once..." Johnathan ended, looking aside from the others.
"Yes. But apart from that... this was my secret place, the place I could hide from the world. No one knew of it, not even my closest friends.... And they went to their graves not knowing, I suppose..." Veronica looked away as well. She could feel tears trickling down her cheeks, as they always did when she thought of her friends.
Artur cleared his throat. "Well.... There is no need for secrecy for those such as us. Johnathan and I have seen each-other, but I suppose for your benefit..."
Artur and Johnathan cast their hoods back. Artur had gleaming, curly red-gold hair and boyish good looks, while Johnathan had strange greenish hair, cut short, and a darker attractiveness. The difference was like that between a housecat and a lion, it was so extreme.
Veronica cast her own hood back, and shook out her blue-black hair. "We will see what we can do about the Tower of the Gods, Johnathan. We will see."
