This system will be, hopefully, somewhat more refined than simply running around killing stuff. I intend to split each seperate part of the storyline into missions, according to what planet/etc. we happen to be on. At the start of each mission, I will give a briefing, as well as an in depth description of the planet.
Tactics are important. These enemies will, for the most part, be heavily trained. We're going to need tactics and maneuvers, as well as strategy. These will range from full on attacks, to ambushes, to stealthy sneaking.
On the subject of enemies, these are not pushovers, nor should they be able to be killed in one shot (exceptions would be a sniper bullet to vital areas, rockets, etc.) They will use tactics, and they will be difficult to defeat. Especially the bosses I create.
Those on the side of good are all on the same team, and will have several captains (whom I deem to be captains are up to me). For recon purposes or otherwise, we may not always be in one group, and it will be up to the captains (as well as myself) to determine who goes on which team. While we are determining teams, do not say that is the way it goes, as all captains will have a say.
I may add more things about the system later.

I'm adding a little segment about Characters, and Evil characters
The character limit for this RP is 3. This is because this is a large world we'll be playing in, and 3 sounds like a nice character limit to use for this.
As for evil characters, you are the ones who may choose whether or not to fight in a group. This will simply be because many evil characters (including my own soon to come Dark Samus character) are stronger than average warriors, and may not necessarily need to travel in a group. Not to mention, if you're evil, the odds are usually stacked in your favor (I say usually because some may not be. Again, using Dark Samus, who has everything against her, as an example). However, rules still apply to evils, you won't always win, just like good won't always win.

TEG, I'm afraid I'm slightly confused. What races and whatnot are allowed?

Hmm.. Good thanks for bringing this up, it's something I forgot. As far as races go, I'll be improvising. You can pick whatever race you want, but if it's not a widely known race, you've got to explain it. We all know the basics. However, for those that don't know halo, or anything else about the RP's here, here's the alien races that are already in the games for you. (yeah, you've got to read). This will contain information vital to understanding of not only the races, but their histories (note: some articles will contain more than one race). Please note that I can provide no race information on Genetic experiments, because they are very rare, and only Jumba made that type. Howewver, I can provide a list of all 630 (possibly 631) experiments The Spartan II's: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SPARTAN-II_ProjectThe Covenant: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Covenant_%28Halo%29The Flood: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flood_%28Halo%29Genetic Experiments: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_experiments_from_Lilo_%26_StitchThe Timesplitters: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TimeSplitter_%28race%29 (let's just say, for all purposes, I may bring them into the RP) The Space Pirates: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Pirate_%28Metroid%29The Chozo: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ChozoThe Luminoth: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LuminothThe Metroids: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metroid_%28species%29And, as I said, custom races are welcome, but you'll have to explain them
