Tanya looked at Leatolus for a moment, striving - though probably failing - to look as unimpressed as he did. Quite honestly, the man intimidated her slightly, as most people did. Thinking what an annoying man he was helped her to find her courage. "What I can contribute? Hmm, I hadn't really thought about that..." She reached one hand behind her back and touched her staff. She frowned for a second, then breathed theatrically outwards. Her breath as it left her mouth turned to delicate ice crystals that sprinkled to the floor. She left her arm hang back by her side. "You mean asides from being able to kill stuff in a doxen different ways? I can stop people from dying. It's my speciality. And if my shields fail, I'll bring them back from the brink of death. So if you want your fighters to last beyond the first round against these goblins, you'd be an idiot not to take me on this mission." With a nod, she let the ice crystals melt, and stepped daintilly away from the growing puddle that this made. ~~ (She can't resisit showing off )

((I noticed )) Leatolus frowned slightly at the water, before returning his gaze to Tanya. "Better than nothing, I suppose," he sniffed, moving on. He moved on now to Shayna sat on the stairs. "And you really can't even stand...?" he began. Shayna, who had been daydreaming, snapped back to reality, and glared at him. "The moment you're threatening I'll worry about that glare. What use would you be on this assault?" he commented. "How about smack you in the face with a big like woah boulder while you're tied up with vines and I protect those bodyguards with a nice wall?" she growled. "Ah. You'll do. That's at least two," he commented. "Anyone else, or is this really the best you have, Miss Truffle?" he called, hastily moving away from the irritated girl. ((Shayna is not a happy bunny Also, last call, Jiin.))

((*wakes up* huh wah... here!!!)) As Klaus watched as Leatolus moved towards where Klaus was, he quickly got up and looked directly at him. "So... I guess you want to know what I can do for your job right?well i'm good with a spear" he said

((Sorry, I've been really sick the last few days )) "Ugh, is that it?" he sighed. He glanced around and realised that Klaus was the last person left, as the others he hadn't yet dismissed had left in disgust. "Fine. You'll do. Three. Three people out of all your supposedly great warriors," he muttered, walking away. "Right. I suppose we'd best leave then," he announced, walking with his head held high out of the hall and toward the gateway, where three carriages stood waiting. "Before we go..." one of the bodyguards said, pulling Tanya, Klaus and Shayna to one side. "I'd like to apologize for the lords behaviour. He's a bit...erm...oh, how should I put this...?" he explained. "Snobbish. Irritating. Holier than thou," the other declared as he walked by. "...That's a less than polite way of putting it, but yeah," the first sighed, following.

"Um... What happened?" Katrina asked the cleric.
"I-I-I-I'll go get somebody to explain... Yeah, that's it. Wait here. Er, I mean, don't go anywhere. If you can. Uh, bye!" Jennon fled the room, still mumbling.
A few moments later, Er'Eln stomped into the room. "You could have died. You've been out for two days. Your arm is broken. Have fun with that." Er'Eln stomped back out.
"...Okay...?"

((Aww, I hope you're feeling better, Kitini))
Tanya laughed, following the guards towards the carriages. "After we're through with this contract, will you guys stop me if I try to turn your boss into a walking icicle? Silly question I guess, but I should wanr you that I have a short temper with some people." Tanya laughed as the guards looked more serious "I'm kidding. We're not allowed to kill clients. Who is he? I guess I missed the introductions, becuase as far as I can see he's just being mindlessly arrogant."
((I really don't think I can find where it's mentioned who he is / why he's important. But either way, lets get the ball rolling again ^_^ ))

((I really don't think I can find where it's mentioned who he is / why he's important. But either way, lets get the ball rolling again ^_^ )) ((That's coz we only know his name so far )) "You honestly haven't heard of him?" one bodyguard asked, choosing to ignore the girls worrying statements. "By the gods, run, save yourself the misery," he sighed. "What he means is, other than him being a bit...ah...difficult to work with, is he is...our kings son..." the other said quietly, determined to avoid calling him a prince. "Oh, bloody hell...I've heard of him..." Shayna mumbled. "Biggest spoiled brat world's ever seen," "I can hear you," Prince Leatolus sniffed, doing a poor job of masking the anger in his voice, as he climbed into a carriage.

Tanya frowned. "So, what, are we meant to bow and shuffle around and show respect or something?" She laughed quietly as she watched the prince climb into the carriage. "As far as I'm aware, crown princes have few difficult tasks to complete. Why exactly does he deserve to act all high and mighty? Anyway, it doesn't seem to be working if even his own bodyguards don't respect him....hmm....think we'll get some kind of giant cash reward if we end up saving him?....Ah well. Lets get going, i suppose. The sooner this is over, the sooner he'll stop polluting our air with his arrogance."
((this is quite fun, but perhaps you should move us all into a carriage and away, Kitini))

((Okay doke. Was sorta waiting on Jiin but we'll assume he's with us )) "Lord I hope not," Shayna sighed, opening the door and holding it for her companions - she knew it'd take her a while to climb in and didn't want to keep them waiting too much. She deliberately chose a separate carriage to the prince. "I may actually throw up if we do," she smiled.

((I guess I made Klaus really quiet))
"yeah..." Klaus mumbled, looking at the other carriage. Shaking his head, he jumped into the same carriage, saying a quick "thanks" as he passed by Shayna.

"I don't suppose you guys want to teach that prince his place, do you?" Tanya mock-sighed "It was just a thought." Giving her own thanks, Tanya climbed up into the carriage and sat next to Klaus. "Think this thing has any suspension? Ah well, it might be a long ride..." She leaned back and settled her head against the wall of the carriage, waiting for the journey to start...

Shayna nodded with a happy smile on her face, and followed them into the carriage. "Doubt our ones do," she chuckled. "You've got the right idea," she yawned, curling up in her seat, while at the same time bracing herself.
With a sudden lurch, the carriages moved off at a steadily increasing rate. The road felt much bumpier in the carriages than normal. After a few minutes, Shayna peaked her head out the window to call to the driver. "Are you sure we're on the road and not making our own one across the dirt?" she joked, earning nothing more than an irritated sigh.

Tanya shifted uncomfortably on her seat as the carriage rolled not-so-smoothly along the road. "Eurgh. Surely even the academy carriages are better than this...I'm darned if I can fall asleep like this...but I suppose miracles do happen." Suddenly changing her expression to one of extreme jolliness, she said "So, I don't think I've met you two before. My name's Tanya. It looks like it could be a few hours, so lets get to know each other better, eh?"
~ (Just ignore her faux-cheerfulness if you like. I'm just filling up time untill we arrive...Kitini, care to just go to our arrival / next major point of interest?)

As Klaus started to yawn"well... there is the other alternative and...ya know, havin' to walk it all the way to port. Oh, i'm Klaus by the way..." trying not to nod off.

"Shayna," she smiled, giving a little wave and a smile.
((Time-skip ahoooooy!))
Eventually the constant rattling and bumping gave way to gentle swaying as the carriage was pulled up onto a ship. Before long, servings of bread and water were passed through the window to ensure the warriors would have as energy as possible, but it was not entirely necessary. Barely an hour after setting sail, the bumping resumed, even harsher than before - they had arrived in Ade, and the roads were apparently damaged.
Before long, the carriages finally came to their destination - Englevania, the supposed capital of Ade. The carriage doors swung open and a heavily armoured man offered his hand to whoever needed one.
"Good afternoon, little mercenaries," he said, his voice sending vibrations through his audience. "General Erath at your service," he added, with a friendly smile.
